SafariKeePassXC does not collect, store, or transmit any data to me or to any server. Everything the app does happens locally on your Mac.
What the app accesses
The app acts as a local bridge between Safari and your own KeePassXC database. When you use autofill, save a login, or generate a password, it communicates directly with your locally running KeePassXC application over KeePassXC's official Browser Integration Protocol, encrypted end-to-end with NaCl/libsodium — the same mechanism used by KeePassXC's own official browser extensions. That connection stays on your machine; it never leaves it.
What the app stores
Nothing. The extension itself stores no passwords, usernames, or other secrets — every credential is read fresh from your unlocked KeePassXC database each time it's needed, and access has to be approved by you inside KeePassXC once, per database.
Analytics & third parties
The app contains no analytics, crash reporting, or third-party tracking of any kind. Nothing about your usage or your KeePassXC data is ever sent to me or to anyone else.
